When to use this calculator
Use this calculator when you want a visual, grid-based reading from your birth date instead of a single reduced number. It highlights which digits are present, missing or repeated, and which rows, columns and diagonals are complete.
How it is calculated
- Write your birth date as digits (zeros are ignored).
- Place each digit in its fixed position on the 3x3 Lo Shu magic square.
- Count repeats and note missing digits.
- Read the rows, columns and diagonals (the planes) that are complete or empty.
Worked example
Input: Born 14 August 1995
Working: The digits are 1, 9, 9, 5, 8, 1, 4. Present: 1, 4, 5, 8, 9. Missing: 2, 3, 6, 7. Repeated: 1 and 9.
Result: Five digits present, four missing, 1 and 9 repeated
Common mistakes
- Counting zeros as digits; in the Lo Shu grid the digit 0 has no cell.
- Treating a missing number as a defect rather than as a theme to reflect on.
- Mixing Lo Shu grid rules with other systems that use different placements.
Results are symbolic and meant for reflection, not prediction. Calculation rules and sources are on the methodology page.
