When to use this calculator
Use this calculator when you want a reflective comparison of two people, such as partners, friends or business partners. It needs two names and two birth dates. Treat the score as a conversation starter; numerology cannot measure how well a relationship will work.
How it is calculated
- Calculate each person’s life path number from their birth date.
- Calculate each person’s expression number from their full name.
- Reduce master numbers to roots for comparison (11 to 2, 22 to 4, 33 to 6).
- Compare each pair using a fixed compatibility matrix, then combine the results into one score.
Worked example
Input: Maria Lopez (29 Nov 1988) and Sam Carter (3 May 1990)
Working: The tool calculates both life path numbers and both expression numbers, compares the pairs and returns a score with strengths and challenges.
Result: Compatibility score 88
Common mistakes
- Reading a low score as a sign a relationship will fail. The matrix is symbolic and has no predictive value.
- Entering nicknames, which changes the expression numbers.
- Using it to make decisions about relationships, jobs or money.
Results are symbolic and meant for reflection, not prediction. Calculation rules and sources are on the methodology page.
