When to use this calculator
Use this calculator when you want to know where a given calendar year falls in your nine-year numerology cycle. It is often used at the start of a year for planning and reflection, and you can enter past or future years too.
How it is calculated
- Reduce your birth month.
- Reduce your birth day.
- Reduce the calendar year you are asking about.
- Add the three and reduce to a single digit. The result is the personal year number for that calendar year.
Worked example
Input: Birthday 14 March, calendar year 2026
Working: Month 3. Day 14 becomes 1 + 4 = 5. Year 2026 becomes 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10, then 1. Add 3 + 5 + 1 = 9.
Result: Personal year 9 for 2026
Common mistakes
- Using your birth year instead of the calendar year you are asking about.
- Switching the cycle on your birthday when the tool and many sources use the calendar year.
- Expecting events: a personal year number is a theme for reflection, not a forecast.
Results are symbolic and meant for reflection, not prediction. Calculation rules and sources are on the methodology page.
