Unlike the other core numbers, the Personal Year changes every year. Numerologists use it as a rough guide to timing: when to start something, when to be patient and when to finish things.

Most practitioners count the year from January 1 to December 31. Some start it on your birthday instead; AngelSign uses the calendar year.

How to calculate your Personal Year Number

  1. Reduce your birth month to one digit (November stays 11).
  2. Reduce your birth day to one digit (the 11th, 22nd and 29th give 11 or 22).
  3. Add the digits of the year you want to look at and reduce them.
  4. Add the three results and reduce the total to a number from 1 to 9. If the total is 11 or 22, AngelSign shows the master number too.

Worked example: Born June 18, looking at the year 2026

  • Month: June = 6
  • Day: 18 → 1 + 8 = 9
  • Year: 2026 → 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10 → 1 + 0 = 1
  • Total: 6 + 9 + 1 = 16 → 1 + 6 = 7
