When to use this calculator
Use this calculator when you want the single number most numerologists treat as the core of a birth chart. It needs only your full birth date, so it is the quickest starting point if you have never calculated a numerology number before.
How it is calculated
- Reduce the month to a single digit (or keep 11, 22, 33).
- Reduce the day the same way.
- Reduce the year by adding its digits until one digit (or a master number) remains.
- Add the three results and reduce again. The final value is your life path number.
Worked example
Input: Born 29 November 1988
Working: Month 11 stays 11. Day 29 becomes 2 + 9 = 11. Year 1988 becomes 1 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 26, then 2 + 6 = 8. Add 11 + 11 + 8 = 30, then 3 + 0 = 3.
Result: Life path number 3
Common mistakes
- Reducing the month, day and year to single digits too early and so losing a master number.
- Using the two-digit year (88) instead of the full year (1988).
- Mixing methods: adding every digit at once gives the same answer here but can differ when a master number appears in a component.
Results are symbolic and meant for reflection, not prediction. Calculation rules and sources are on the methodology page.
